From Port-au-Prince to Merida!  Our Spring 2011 shipment of artisan handicrafts from Haiti is now available for THE SECOND ANNUAL HAITIAN ART FESTIVAL.  The entire proceeds will go to the artisans of Haiti as they begin to rebuild their lives.  Please come, enjoy these handicrafts and support Haitian artisans.

Artist Statement

My name is Montes Paul. I'm Thirty Eight years old. I was born in 1971 at Zoranger 10th Section Communal of Croix des Bouquets.  I have a wife and children with her. In thousand six when arrived to Hubbert Bernard I took decisions to create my own art. It wasn't easy but it was a long street for me in spite of my experience. Today thanks to God, now I can do whatever kind of model of art someone wants to ask me to do. I can't count all the models I already did.  I have participated in three expositions of art in my country Haiti. I sold all my models because they were so nice. I want to create a relationship with you because I want to sell my art in the market international.  Thank you.

Artist Statement

My name is Gonzalez Gerald Jr. and my first name is Seignan. Born in Haiti the 25 March 88 in a family of five children and I am the second, after my classic school I've choice to study the banking. I am very nice, sensible and respectable. I am not married. I have twenty one years old. I have for objective to do art. Art is a passion of my life. Today is a reality grace of you. I thank you from my heart to appreciate my art. I want to continue to work with you. My art is very different. I think to thank you again and encourage for the work spectacular and extraordinary that you do, it is for me a honor and a grateful to work with you.

We also have copies of this book available, which tells the stories of individual artisans in Haiti who have found an audience abroad, and some of whose work we will showcase.
